Release Notes: Send mail performance improved

We are happy to announce that we have released a performance improvement on the server this week. This will make sending of emails much faster, particularly when you are sending emails to several recipients and with large attachments. Now we are working on integrating Let's Encrypt for whitelabel domains.

Improved send mail performance

We have released an update of the server that significantly improves the performance when users send an email.

Slow mail performance occasionally led to a bug where users received the notification that an email could not be sent while in fact this email got queued and was sent. Due to this some users send the same email several times. This has now been fixed, and overall speed has also improved.

Integrate Let's Encrypt for whitelabel domains

We have now started to integrate Let's Encrypt for whitelabel domains to make Tutanota the perfect service for secure business emails.

This means that you do not need to get your own SSL certificate when you want to use Tutanota with your own domain. Tutanota will also update your certificates automatically. This will make using Tutanota with your own domain much easier.
