Release Notes 2.13.4: Spam Improvement and Changes in Support

2016-12-19
With this update we have significantly improved spam handling by adding DKIM and DMARC to Tutanota. In addition we are changing our support system. Up to now we have answered all support requests. However, with well over one million users, we need to put more time into development than answering innumberable emails every day.

If you are a Premium user, you are of course entitled to direct support from us. This is why we have added a support button in the top menu bar of your admin mailbox so that you can easily reach our team. If you are not yet a Premium user, feel free to upgrade now directly in your encrypted mailbox. It's only 12 Euro per year.

Of course you can also make use of our Reddit community for getting help. Simply create a Reddit account and subscribe to our Subreddit.

DKIM and DMARC

To improve spam handling of your encrypted mailbox, we have also added DKIM and DMARC support. DKIM adds cryptographic signatures of the sender domain to emails when sending, and it validates these signatures when receiving. DMARC allows validating SPF and DKIM domains in emails. Both help distinguishing spam from ham (non-spam) emails.

This is what we have done:

  • Changed support system
  • Added DKIM and DMARC
  • Allow storing multiple login credentials to make signing in easier
  • Improved keyboard handling on iOS
