Vulnerability disclosure for Tutanota
On April 3rd a vulnerable version of Tutanota was released. We were notified about the issue three days later by one of our users and fixed it immediately. Now, all affected versions of Tutanota have been disabled and we would like to inform you about the issue for full transparency.

Today, on World Press Freedom Day, a global network of over 45+ organizations including Tor, Tutanota, Fight for the Future, Center for Democracy & Technology, Mozilla, Nextcloud, OpenMedia and the Document Foundation have united to urge democratic leaders not to follow the path of authoritarian governments like Russia and Iran, who actively limit their citizensβ access to encrypted services.
